Designer Anna Bruce was born and raised in Northern California.  She attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco where she earned degree in fashion design. Upon graduation, she moved to New York and began working in the fashion industry, as well as creating costumes for off-Broadway theater productions.

Eventually, her love of the west coast brought her back to California where she focused on working with earth friendly fabrics. Soon she had several designs and an increasing fan base. What began as a creative way to make gifts for friends and family took on a life of its own as her work garnered more and more  attention. Thus, the Anna Bruce line was born.  

Her recent creations of embroidered designs on organic cotton t-shirts and onesies are a combination of her love of fabric art and her belief in having a light impact on the planet.
